Danish Christmas

Ask is pining for a Danish Christmas and I don’t blame him. I worked in Aalborg, Denmark for a couple of months around Christmas in 1994 and I have fond memories of my time there, especially during the Christmas season.

I actually came home for a week over Christmas but I experienced a Danish Christmas none the less. The mulled wine, the festivities, the friendly people. I want to go back.

Spent way too much time on Jomfru Ane Gade, which is a street in Aalborg which pretty much consists of all bars that stay open all night.

I remember one night a couple of us found ourselves at a dance club there and despite having worn Teva sandals that evening I did manage to find myself out on the dance floor. One of the Danish girls I was dancing with asked me in halting English if I wanted to go back to her place and being a good boy I said no.

So she looks up at me and says in perfect English, “Your shoes are very ugly. Fuck you.”

Anyways, I have a girlfriend, and she’s Danish. Lives in Copenhagen.

I don’t like her just because she’s Danish. We were friends for a while, we went through our ups and downs, but now, we are a couple so it doesn’t matter.

I love her very much. And I have found a new liking for Danish ass. ^_^
