Movable Type 2.6 Is Out

by john on February 13, 2003

Six Apart (otherwise know as Mena and Ben Trott) has released Movable Type 2.6. Just got the upgrade working, although if you looked at my site within the last 20 minutes it probably looked sort of funky – I was having a problem getting my plugins to be recognized, and that caused things to get all hosed up.

But I posted my problem to their support forum and within a few minutes Ben had found that my problem was related to a minor regex bug in MT.pm and he gave me the code change to get me up and running on 2.6.

Other than that the upgrade (from 2.51) was very smooth.

For the nerdier among us … what was the bug (not that I’m a Perl or Regex guru, but I’m familiar with both)?

BTW, I like the logo on top of your page. Just having one make the site a lot better looking.

I’m still having a couple of other issues as well, but we’ll get through them.
