Simple Reading Game
Our son is in kindergarten and we are of course always looking for different ways to get him involved with more reading and writing. His school does a great job but you just can’t do enough. We enrolled him in a reading camp this summer which I think will be a great warm up for 1st grade.
In his class they have a list of “star words” that are words that the kids are supposed to instantly recognize without having to sound out. As the list is really starting to grow now I decided it might be neat to cut out all of the words and play different games piecing them and a few other words together.
Of course, doing this online would even be better. And why reinvent the wheel?
