The content around here has been thin lately but I hope those of you that stop by periodically will continue to do so and those of you reading me through an aggregator will keep me in your list – this being my first summer as a weblogger I’ve noticed a couple of things.
First, June is an extremely busy month at work. Last month of the quarter, annual review time and a host of important projects that I’ve got my mitts on in some way. But I don’t see that slowing down for some time so I have to deal with it.
Second, in the winter there is plenty of time to blog. What else is there to do at 9:00AM on a Saturday morning when the kids are watching cartoons? Well in the summer at 9:00AM I’m already half-way into a round of golf. Moblogging is in, but I’m not that crazy.
Third, since I’ve cut out caffeine from my diet I’ve found that I sleep much more soundly and longer – rather then routinely getting up at 3:00 or 4:00AM and starting the day off with a little writing I now usually sleep until it’s time to get ready for work. I think in the long run that I’ll be healthier for that but it’s still a change I’m struggling with as it’s hard to be prolific when you’ve lost so many hours a day.
The biggest casualty in my writing that I have noticed is that I really haven’t made the time to play much with CSS or the MT templates to the degree I would like. Part of why I am doing this is to experiment with the medium and it’s all I can do to come up with some content let alone muck with the innards. I am going to make a conscious effort to write some more about that this summer.
So, gentle reader, hang with me as we get through this together. Thank you for your patronage.
