the part that I love is that comcast has to be present and work on your computer to get service installed, what the don't understand is that I work in computer support and know more than they do. I don't need them to do anything to my machine, I just need them to give me a live connection. But no, they want access so they can install their crap on there and change my local settings. All this does is make the machine run slower and piss me off!!!

if you want to undo the change made to internet explorers title bar open the registry (regedit.exe)

locate HKey Current User/Software/Microsoft/Internet_Explorer/Main/Window Title

from there double click on window title and make it whatever you want.

I also hate Comcast's CSR's. I've never dealt with anyone who wanted to cause trouble worse than the women working in the Elkridge,MD office.

I had the same experience with the Comcast switch. It's an amazingly brazen, and intrusive practice by ISPs to change people's homepages without even asking. And the other things they do to IE are even worse. I think it's AT&T Worldnet (my backup ISP) that changes the title and the default search engine.

I thought it was interesting to note that these guys only made those changes to IE, even though Mozilla is my default browser... just silly!
