Getting Greedy

I think this weblog revenue generation model is starting to go to my head. This morning I actually modified an old entry to include a link to a book in Amazon for no other reason than to try to capture some Amazon revenue from all of the people coming to that article from Google, where I am the #1 search result. I’ve also written an article on how to maximize Adsense Revenues using Adsense Channels.

Speaking of that, I’ve made more than twice as much from Google this month, my first month on the AdSense program, than what I’ve made all time from Amazon. So far I’ve racked up about $11 in my Amazon Associates program and I’ve been averaging #DELETED# cents a day from Google, from a low of zero on the first of August when I started and a couple of days when my site was down while I was on vacation to a maximum of #DELETED# on the 10th. So it has been a pretty steady stream. That’s almost #DELETED# for the month.

Someone could, and probably already is, make some decent money by linking together a series of weblogs each targeted to a particular vertical. I’m seeing AdSense pop up already on some pretty high trafficked sites and I’ll bet they are throwing off some pretty decent cash.
