The Fifth Sentence

Killing time before having dinner at “Hard Rock Copenhagen”:http://www.hardrock.com/locations/cafes/cafes.asp?lc=COPE so I’ll play the Fifth Sentence game like Shelley:

# Grab the nearest book
# Open the book to page 23
# Find the fifth sentence
# Post the text of the sentence in your journal along with these instructions

(Like “Doug”:http://www.thealders.net/blogs/archive/001887.html I would assume you pick the fifth complete sentence, ignoring the sentence fragment that may start the page - although in my case it was easy because page 23 was a new chapter.)

From 0060548266 by Mary Stewart, page 23, the fifth sentence:

bq(quote). Then the trees thinned, and the path climbed along the side of the valley, with the stream running deep down on the left, and to the right slopes of grass, broken by scree, rising sharply to the crags that crowned the hill.

Funny thing is I’m still reading 0060548258 but Book Two was closer.

Was hoping to post pictures of Denmark during my week here but I forgot to bring my card reader so I’ll have to batch post them later.
