xPod

“Dave takes a stab”:http://archive.scripting.com/2004/12/20#When:7:39:41PM at naming the rumored Satellite iPod from Apple – the xPod.

It’s a rumor that has been going around for a little while now, probably since “XM Satellite Radio”:http://www.xmsr.com/ introduced it’s “MyFi device”:http://www.xmsr.com/myfipromotion/index.jsp in October. Rival “Sirius Satellite Radio”:http://www.sirius.com/servlet/ContentServer?pagename=Sirius/CachedPage&c=Page&cid=1018209032790 has been linked with Apple ever since although everything I have read says they do not have technology that would fit in an iPod at this time.

That hasn’t stopped the stock, which has been on a great run lately. I own both “XMSR”:http://finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?s=XMSR&t=3m and “SIRI”:http://finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?s=SIRI&t=3m&l=on&z=m&q=l&c= and plan to watch these developments closely. SIRI will take a hit next month unless something really is announced at MacWorld and even then it will probably go down. “Sell on the news” and all that.
