A Child’s View

Erin (6) and her friend Amy (8) needed some more white paper to draw on.

bq(quote).. “Dad? Can you go downstairs and make some more paper copies for us?”

“Sorry Erin, we are all out of paper.”

“But just make some more copies!”

I had to think about that one for awhile. I realized she thought the multi-function printer we had somehow made it’s own paper.

bq(quote).. “Erin, the printer doesn’t make it’s own paper, you can’t just make a copy when you don’t have any paper!”

“Well, do you have one piece of paper?”

“I think so.”

“So then make copies from that.”

What we have here, is failure to communicate.

bq(quote).. “Erin, it just doesn’t work that way. You need paper to make copies, the printer does not make paper.”

Amy says, “Could you take a piece of paper with writing on one side and make copies from that?”

OK, I give u They ended up drawing ghosts on white kitchen garbage bags. For the golfers who found the bags floating down the fairway, sorry about that. I should have known what they meant when they said, “We are going to set our ghosts free.”

Kids. Gotta love em.
