WSOP 2008
The 2008 World Series of Poker kicked off yesterday with Event #1, $10,000 Pot Limit Hold’em. It’s a 3 day event and Eli Elezra has the chip lead after day one. Check out Tao of Poker to get a great perspective on the Series.
I was in Vegas last year planning to play an event but the chaos around the first $1,500 No Limit event of the year was just crazy so I skipped it and played in the Deep Stacks tournies at the Venetian. Like what usually happens to me I didn’t cash in the tournies themselves but I was profitable from the satellites and cash games.
This year I’m planning to play in Event #39, $1,500 No Limit Hold’em on Saturday, June 21st. I’ll be there from Friday to Monday and plan to play in the Deep Stacks tournies and satellites at Venetian and/or Caesar’s as well, unless of course I go deep in the WSOP.
