I’ve played in one of these before but didn’t cash. Pokerstars is offering a very nice selection of prizes given that this is a free tournament. Last year they had about 1,400 playing, I would expect a bit more this year. First prize is a PokerStars Caribbean Adventure prize package – worth $14,300! Second place is a European Poker Tour prize package + SCOOP Main Event ticket + Step 6 ticket – worth $11,100. Even 7th place still pays out for over a grand, with a $1,050 tournament ticket entry. Prizes ramp down to places 46th – 100th, which pay out a Step 3 ticket valued at $82.
