Online Casino Spotlight

Online Casino SpotlightI’ve played a little bit of online poker over the last few years, mostly at well-known sites like PokerStars, Party Poker, Full Tilt and yes, even Ultimate Bet. I don’t play very often any more and when I do play poker online it is restricted to PokerStars, where I feel the most comfortable and where I have had my biggest wins. Not to mention the only site where I have any money!

So, I really don’t need a guide to online poker however that doesn’t mean that you don’t. If you are interested in learning more about gambling online then there is a new site that would be helpful to you – Online Casino Spotlight. They have a page about a number of popular online gaming options including Poker, Black Jack, Roulette, Slots, Craps and Video Poker. That’s right, online video poker. Isn’t that kind of a conundrum? I mean, when you think of a real Craps game and then think about online craps, it’s kind of obvious what you are getting. But with video poker, it’s already really online you just happen to be sitting in a casino when you play it. So online video poker seems redundant to me. But probably a lot more fun to play in your PJs at home!

Each of their pages teaches you a little bit about playing these games online. One the things they focus on about poker is how there are free play options that people may not be aware of.

This is a very good summary:

However, this is the beauty of online play. When opting for the free games, you can learn all the basic rules, find out how to bet and hone your skills before putting real money on the line. If you already know the game and just don’t want to gamble, you can always play for fun. Once you feel that you are ready to step up into a big money tournament, rest assured that you have many options for fun and affordable excitement.

I remember the very first time I played poker in a real casino. It was at the Excalibur in Las Vegas and I didn’t have a clue as to what I was doing. And in one of my first hands I made some huge mistake laying down a flush because I don’t understand fully how the board worked in Texas Holdem. Don’t be that guy in online poker! Play some no pressure free poker until you know how it works, then step up to the plate with real money.

Just make sure it is fun money, and not mortgage money!
